
Moundsville Penitentiary
The West Virginia prison was the site of 94 executions from 1899-1959. Today the prison is said to be haunted by phantom inmates and a “shadow man” seen around the grounds.

Trans-Alleghany Lunatic House
The West Virginia asylum was in use from 1864-1994. Due to overcrowding the facility had sanitation issues and many patients died. Today, reports of ghosts, unexplained sounds and voices, and other paranormal activity bring tourists from all over.

Villisca Axe Murders House
The house in Iowa site of an unsolved crime. Eight people including six children were bludgeoned to death with an ax. Visitors to the house have experienced hearing children’s voices, falling objects, and other paranormal activity.

Jerome, AZ
The former copper mining town is home to several haunted venues. From the Mile High Inn to Spook Hall and the Connor Hotel, it is said that numerous spirits of women thought to be former prostitutes haunt these buildings.

The Cuban Club
The Círculo Cubano in Ybor City, Florida is said to be home to several spirits of those who died within the building. Most famously a boy named Jimmy drowned in the pool and is said to communicate through flashlights.

Ft. Mifflin
The decommissioned fort that sits on the Delaware River outside of Philadelphia, PA is said to be the site of numerous paranormal encounters. From wailing women, a faceless man and other specters the fort has no shortage of haunting accounts.

Moon River Brewery
The Savannah, GA building that now houses the Moon River Brewery was originally constructed in 1821 and is said to be haunted. Patrons to the brewery claim that unseen forces have pushed, slapped or have seen a bottle or two tossed. ’Toby” resides in the billiard rooms and is said to punch patrons while the upper floors have not been renovated due to the ghosts who reside there.

The Sultan's Palace
The Gardette-Lepretre mansion in New Orleans’ French Quarter is the site of horrible massacre. A sultan’s brother and his entire household was dismembered one night with the brother being buried alive in the garden in retaliation for the brother stealing from the real sultan. The ‘Sultan’s Palace’ is said to be haunted by tormented spirits.

Calcasieu Courthouse
The courthouse is said to be haunted by Toni Jo McQuiston, the only female to die in Louisiana’s electric chair.

Eastern State Penitentiary
The prison located in Philadelphia was in use from 1829 to 1971 and was known for its notorious criminals and use of torturous punishments. Visitors have reported seeing figures, hearing footsteps, voices and wailing within the penitentiary.

Stanley Hotel
The Stanley Hotel is the inspiration for the Overlook Hotel in Stephen King’s ‘The Shining’. It is also home to paranormal activity, visitors have said that the former owners, the Stanleys, can still be seen going about their day-to-day.

Myrtles Plantation
The antebellum plantation home is located in St. Francisville, LA and is said to be build on an ancient Tunica Indian burial ground. It is said the house is still haunted by numerous spirits.

Lafitte's Blacksmith Shop Bar
One of the oldest buildings in New Orleans’ French Quarter, the bar is said to be haunted by the former owner, Jean Lafitte. There also reports of a woman who abides in the upper floor and sightings of floating red eyes on the premise.

RMS Queen Mary
The ship is now permanently docked in Long Beach, CA and is rumored to be haunted. Reports of a spirit lurking in a cabin and a “lady in white” among other spirits are said to haunt the ship.

The Pine Barrens
The New Jersey Pine Barrens are home to several ghosts, legends and mythical creatures. The most famous among these is probably the Jersey Devil, a winged and hoofed creature, is said to roam the Pine Barrens.

Earnestine and Hazel's
A dive bar located on South Main in Memphis, TN is said to be haunted. The former pharmacy, bar, and bordello is now home to a few roaming spirits and a haunted jukebox.

One If By Land, Two If By Sea
This New York cafe used to be the carriage house belonging to Aaron Burr. It is said that his ghost now haunts along with his daughter, Theodosia, who is said to steal patrons’ earrings.

Lizzie Borden Bed & Breakfast
The Fall River, MA house was home to the Borden family where Lizzie allegedly killed her father and step-mother with an axe. Reports that both victims’ ghosts still haunt the house that is now a bed and breakfast.

Kehoe House
The large Victorian mansion in Savannah, GA was home to William Kehoe and his large family. It is now a hotel and is said to be haunted by the Kehoe family still. William and his wife, Annie and their children have all been reported to appear to guests.

Pittock Mansion
The Portland, OR mansion was built in 1914 as a summer retirement house by Henry and Georgiana Pittock and is said to still be home to the ghosts of the couple.

Waverly Hills Sanatorium
The now closed sanatorium is located in Kentucky. In its years of operation from 1910 to 1961, it is reported that over 8,000 people died in the building. A tuberculosis outbreak decimated patients in 1945. Numerous paranormal reports have been noted, including the spirit of a nurse who committed suicide haunts the premises according to local myth.

Hotel Monte Vista
The historic hotel is located in Flagstaff, AZ along Route 66 and is said to be haunted. The most famous sighting involves a ‘phantom bell boy’ will knock on guests’ doors and talk with them in the middle of the night.

Masonic Temple of Detroit
The Masonic Temple in Detroit is the world’s largest. The temple was build by George D. Mason in 1912 and is said to be haunted by his ghost after he jumped from the roof to his death.

The LaLaurie Mansion
This mansion located in New Orleans’ French Quarter was home to the LaLaurie family in the 1830s. Madame LaLaurie was notorious for her obscene and cruel treatment of slaves. A house fire led to the discovery of the lengths the mistreatment went and also a torture chamber used by Madame LaLaurie. After the LaLaurie family was run out of New Orleans, ghosts and phantoms could be heard screaming and said to chase and terrorize tenants and visitors.
